    Some of my trailer lights worked, some didn't.
    Took it to the Petro in Knoxville, dude had me going in about 15 minutes.
    He asked me if I leave my lights on when I hook to a trailer. I said, all the time. He said, don't do that, it blows the fuse.

    So, I guess with a cascadia, leave the lights off when you hook to a trailer.
    If you forget, its the 20 amp fuse at the very bottom of the fuse box. F3 I think.

    20 amps for all those lights? I had a medium duty that would blow everytime a trailer was hooked. Had to go 40.

    here at wm we have to run lights on all day. we also drive freightliners too. i dont have any issues with fuses blowing as i hook up different trailer all day.

    Tested the pigtail first. Replaced the fuse second. Tested the pigtail third. Hooked to trailer forth.

    dont know. i know i keep me lights on all day rain or shine. drop and hooks all day. i dont have a issue.

    Yes. Turn the lights and 4-way flashers off while hooking. After you plug in Power cord, you can turn everything back on and do pre-trip inspection. I do the same thing while unhooking a trailer. If your lights are on you always have little sparks while plugging in and unplugging power cord. You can't see sparks but if your lights are off, there will be no sparks

    i have done all of my drop and hooks with full light on. the past 2 days have been rain. still no problems.
