I doubt anything will change for drivers.
There will probably be some high fives, handshakes and bonus checks for the Reyes family and George Holm.

I'm not surprised. Reinhart's upper management gave up on Reinhart years ago. They ran that place into the ground and left. Then they went to other grocery companies and did the same thing.

Performance Food to Buy Rival Supplier Reinhart for $2 Billion

i see layoff's in the future, and adding more stops on the others, all for the same monies, since drivers are squeezing the low profits.....

I think the ELD mandate is have a ripple effect in much of this case. Raising costs, lowered production. And this will soon lead to even higher food costs.
Thus strengthening the push even more for higher minimum wages.
This is all thanks to wages not keeping aligned with inflation rates.

Reinhardt here in Cleveland had been struggling, junk equipment, they lost there biggest account Subway. They shut down there building and moved into a small drop lot and were getting there loads from there Pittsburgh warehouse, I had thought Reinhardt was on the way out, just by the looks of things.

I don’t think so. The short haul exemption covers 90% of all their delivery runs is imagine.
