My father was 3rd Infantry, stationed there from 1957-59. Met she who would become my mother and brought her over in 1960 after he got out.
Funny.... My grandfather fought in WW2 in the German army, and fathers tend to be protective of their daughters as a general rule, and now 12 years later “the enemy” comes courting.

It's easier reading, you just can't take every sentence as it reads. I started checking against ESV, and now I just use ESV - it seems to have the accuracy of the KJV without all the thous, arts, and thus's. I'm a schlub and just let my phone read it to me now haha.

We got some ugliness moving in too.
Saturday I drove straight through the middle of one coming up 81 in VA around the 175mm or so. Not a good sign when the temp drops 20 degrees in 3 minutes. Not long after that the penny sized hail stones came bouncing of my hood. -
