Did we screw up and anger the powers-that-be at FDOT? I haven't been PrePass'd by a scale in over two weeks. The first few times I chalked it up to an enforcement blitz, but now I know that isn't the case. I find it odd I get pulled in and JB and Werner are getting green-lighted. Empty, light, or heavy... in I go. I haven't been pulled onto the scale or around back though. Not that I mind going in, I'm just finding it odd.
Anybody getting bypassed in Florida?

I have noticed that in Florida also, heck just today I got my first full blown inspection by Dot in almost two years. Happened in Texas down by Houston. Got nailed for a torn mud flap on the trailer, I still don't see the tear. Guess he had to find something.

Hey Chipbase, I got your PM but can't respond because of the message total. The biggest thing you will face at orientation as far as the driving test is safety. Just be a safe driver, take it slow and Roehl likes double clutching. Pay attention to your lane changes, check your mirrors often. If you are a safe driver a little gear grinding doesn't hurt. Also the like to make sure you can back, don't rush it and you will be ok

Thanks Etch, I will be safe and all I know is to double clutch. LOL
Thanks for the heads up i appriciate it. -
picked up in abbeville tues. and got red light at the first weigh station in every state. that's a first for me, especially the station on 75 north before london, ky.
While i was in abbeville i had a flat on the truck and they called out a vendor for a tire. the guy that came said he had been busy the last two days going from coop to coop on 85 changing tires. -
must be some road spikes out. Man that was a tough day huh!

Roehl must have really screwed the pooch. Maybe their safety rating went down the drain, I'm not sure. I do know in the past 7 days on the road, I've been pulled into more scales than in the previous 6 months, maybe even a year. Empty, light, heavy... didn't matter.

more likely the economy. states are looking to squeeze as much money as they can out of their "investments"

If that were the case, Werner would've pulled in right behind me.

ya got me there!! LOL maybe not werner because of the paperless logs BS. but the others.........
