Some how or another, I overlooked this spot.
Anywho, I just wanted to say hi. My significant other is an o/o, and he introduced me to this forum. I tend to get a little depressed over the whole being apart thing, and I am just looking for a few friends that understand how that feels.
So... Hello.... Thanks for reading.... and I will see you around the board.
Heck, didn't notice this was here

Hi, and a belated welcome!
I hear ya about being apart from your man, it really sucks!
My hubby is OTR, and I'm working in Europe right now, so we get to spend a whole four weeks together each year, if we are lucky!
But make sure you get yapping on here, try the Ladies Room, and Last Post Wins.
Many of us are in that home-alone situation, so we know exactly how you feel.

oh and btw, did I mention chocolate? This forum runs on it!SweetSouthernRide Thanks this. -
Thanks! I have checked out the ladies room, posted a bit, and I get hungry every time I look at the chocolate section..omg. Yeh, home alone kind of sucks, but when you find the one you truly love-- no amount of time is too long to wait.
Four weeks a year.. but I bet it is a great four weeks. -
Hello, I can relate to your being alone too. My husband has been home about two months spread throughout the year for the last 3 or 4 years and the 7 years before that he was home only on the weekends. He just took a job leasing a truck to a different company that does mostly the loads that keep him away most of the year so it looks like things are not going to change any time soon.

Glad you found us....
SweetSouthernRide Thanks this. -
Thanks S's Wife! I been trying to occupy my time more. Sometimes I just end up depressed watching old Johnny Cash videos on youtube... I'm a sap. If you're ever looking for somebody to talk to, hunt me up.

Seen you around before, thanks for the welcome!

I will look for you. My husband starts the long hauls after his orientation the week of the 18th. I don't know when I will see him when he leaves for that week. I am going to try to enjoy the whole next week because he will be home for the last time for that length of time.

I hear ya, I hope you have a great week
