So your truck is over 12'?

More motor and suspension being the biggest differences, along with not sitting on top of the engine. Most yard tractors I've used have a Cummins 5.9, and solid mount rear axle. I do a lot of metro driving, and have done a good bit of LTL flatbed work in the past, and this has been a recurring idea bouncing around my skull.FlaSwampRat Thanks this.

Must be an east coast thing. I can only think of a hand full of times I have had to go around a low bridge even with a 13’ tall truck. Current truck is 12’ to the top of the stacks and is a whole lot more comfortable then a yard truck.

No one cares if those skinny straights hit a bridge because then they'll just get bent and look like all the other ones.
