It must be a new thing. Not many scales around and then they start looking at the bridge. Illinois, now little California.

Dumb move. There was a bridge right next to the shipper's driveway. He missed the driveway and went over the bridge. The recently marked, 10 ton bridge. The recently marked, 10 ton bridge, with a cop conveniently waiting on the other side. The shipper told him afterwards that a loaded truck the week before had been given a $10,000 ticket.
-
Dang... did he get a 2 for 1 and go back over it to the missed driveway????
-
That I can understand. They love the lower weighted roads. I thought you got it at the scale.

Thankfully, he only does dumb things once, then he learns.

even the first time once my driver did that too but they gave him a $350 ticket. After that if by mistake he reached on a bridge with a 10 tons limit he would just back up and stopped all traffic lol.
But on my case i had 1 log violation before in VA last year and it costed me $175 why would they charge such a ridiculous amount. sum end meets? -
Loose brake chamber is a completely different out of service violation than brake adjustment & it took quite a while to become loose..........much more than 3-days ago.
-
Just a small difference in "brake chamber" and "slack adjuster".....NOT....
Goes right back to the "lack of training" in most CDL sschools, along with trainers not doing their job of continuation training after school. -
First of all, how long have you been driving? The loose brake chamber is yours! Ever hear of a "Pretrip"? to be done EVERYDAY? The log as well, your supposed to know the rules you drive by. Not sorry fou you. Pay the fine and do your job.otherhalftw Thanks this.

Where in my post does it say that it's not my fault? my concern is the amount of the tickets. That means you get under your truck everytime you are going to drive it
