If I hear Iacocca’s name I think of Yocco’s hot dogs. My father took me to the Allentown location in the late 1970’s or early 80’s. He and Lee knew each other or something...at least that’s how I remember it. I could be wrong.

We owned a K car I believe called the Reliant. (Ha... but I digress) it served it's purpose many years however in the end the engine block failed and that's that. Scrap it.

Sometimes I wondered if the foundry made those engines a little more beef like the engines of old...

One of my relatives fell in love with the Fury series from back in his Police Training days I believe he progressed through several Furies in my lifetime. The best one was a slightly plush version of the V8 derived from police cars of that time period. We put so many miles on that Chrysler and years in which that car had no right to do some of the things we had done with it. For example I had a dead 70's ford, vapor issues. (Remind me to get the 2bbl out for a proper dual 4bbl holley..) and we chained the Fury to that as a tow vehicle and me as the brake. It worked out well... but I could hear the valves tapping and singing a little on some of the harder pulls. It proceeded to put on I don't know how many miles.

I probably would have ended up buying a V8 variant of that car in time myself if that model was allowed to continue. But no. Society fell in love with the minivan and the police the Crown Victoria then.
