Me and my co-driver are a few weeks in to phase2, had very poor training including trip planning and how to use the qualcomm correctly. Most of our loads have been late for those reasons. The drop yard they are sending us to is where i picked up the truck originally. Are they sendings us there to park the truck and fire us? It does not make sense unless we are going to pick up a pre-loaded trailer ? Thanks

most of your loads are late....?
your running team being late really shouldn't happen even with bad trip planning

My company does that with me to pick up a pre load. Were there trailers there when you went to get the truck? If so you probably have an empty on your back. Drop it, grab the trailer they tell you to grab, sign the BOL and GTFO.

The reason it's in the drop lot is because someone T-called it there. They dropped that one, grabbed another one, and left.

    You'll do the same.

Big carriers are mostly drop and hook.
    Unless you are dedicated route.

No excuses. Expect traffic. It's part of driving. Unless its something like I hit where I did a 10hr break on an interstate while they extracted a semi drivers body from under a coil that rolled forward and killed him, I've had a 100% on time delivery rate since I started driving except the stupid tire blowout last week. And I've been driving for years.

Don't plan to be there for your appt time. Plan to be there an hour and a half early.

you need to expect that... if you need to be someplace at 10:00 plan on being there at 09:00

When they dispatched you to this yard, was it with a load dispatched to your truck? Or did they just say "go to the yard and expect further instructions?"
