looking to find a good reference guide for the dash icons & codes and what they are and what issues they relate to when they pop up on the dash - i am starting up a new Road Service Department - in a Growing Company. So, when a driver calls in with an issue, they will send in pictures of the Symbols or Codes that are on their dash - I would like to put together a guide-like booklet that will assist in send drivers to correct shops for the repairs - i have been in Road Service Side for other Companies, but have never seen a Guide -like Booklet put together before - and if there is one i would like to find it - Our Company has 90% 2018 or better Freight liners, a few Volvo's and a few Pete's - Can Any one send me in the Right Direction or assist in getting the information

Have you or your drivers ever tried to read the owners manual? It should all be explained there.
Heavyd, Navtech, FlaSwampRat and 2 others Thank this. -
I appreciate that, and because i ask doesn't mean i am stupid, it means i am trying to make a difference, broke the cycle and mind set of those who like you think asking questions, is wrong. however what i am looking for, isn't in the owner manual

If you are looking for code explanations, they will usually are accessible online. You should be able to download them and be able to print out. Mitchell One and Truck Fault Codes.com are two resources available for example. Icons on dashboard are in the owners manual.

Hopefully this helps a lil.

Most of the icons are standardised in ISO or SAE Standards.

https://www.iso.org/obp/ui/#iso:pub:PUB400001:en
May not be the latest but could be a good start.
You can also search for SAE J2402 standard. (I think it is J2402)
You can purchase the SAE standards from SAE website.
Another possibility is to check on switch manufacturer websites. Some of them have lists of the different lenses and icons that can be used on switches or warning lights.
