Legal. You're allowed 20K on a single axle. Spread axles are considered 2 single axles, thus 20K per which is 40K. If there is an imbalance in the weight those axles are actually carrying, your limit is reached when the heavier of the axles hits 20K, which will be less than 40K.

It will increase what you put on the tandems in Canada only I think it's 37k or 38k. Keep in mind Manatoba doesn't recognize a 10'2" spread that is considered 1 axle at 20k!

I think I need to sit with Manitoba and drink with them with numbers on napkins until I am either under the table or they agree two times 20K = 40K.... eh? -
