Sweet Potato Pie where I'm from.

 

It’s not in a pie shell. And traditionally around here the pie doesn’t have the topping.

 

Don't they all, I mean all know you buy now?

 

That's just what my mother and grandmother called it. My other grandmother from Oklahoma called it Sweet Potato Casserole and put them all three together and they'd argue for hours over what something is called. I just called it good and ate it. East German/Russians and Okies cook a lot of the same things with totally different names.

 

That just made the list of new dishes to try.

 

I won’t turn either down.

 

Here's one for you, Thanksgiving stuffing with oysters in it. WTF do you call that?
