Not yet I don't think. The only knowledge I have is that the Bakersfield road through a small pass is closed due to landslides. Whatever road that would be. They would know it.

The situation is still rolling. Hundreds of threes in the night as i write this. Just barely enough to feel it in your airride if you were sitting over it. Ive had a number of 3's and 4's bounce around a bit out that way and salinas. But the airride soaks it up keep on sleeping.

Waiting for sun to come up. The China Lake Weapons station is closed. So that route is out.

Just remember there is a fault from Bakersfield south where it connects to Andreas directly towards Ridgefield as the crow flies. And another line from Cajon victorville directly to the same spot in Ridgefield. The quakes have been scattering a little bit along the Bakersfield-Ridgefield line. It's only 120 miles. So 10 miles every 14 hours or so. Shake shake shake.

You do not want to be around Barstow or Bakersfield or East LA right now. If you want out, get to it.

One other thought as trucker. Stay out from between trailers in docks and ESPECIALLY out from between merchandise racks inside those warehouses. Put off getting under pinch areas of your rig for a while. It's not worth the risk when it really rocks and roll.

    x1Heavy,
That is some great advice for anyone to follow especially if they have not experienced an earthquake. I have only experienced 1 in my lifetime and at a 4 no one seemed concerned but it scared the hell out of me and I did not know what to do. Thanks again for some good solid advice.

    D.Tibbitt Thanks this.

Everything is fine out here. Only road close is 178. And that is a little side road going into Trona. There is a certain individual that has nothing else to do. He is has been completely retired for 100 years and posts here on every thread like he is still trucking today. 99% of the time (Dementia) he has no clue what he is saying and posting. Usually the thread takes a wrong turned or hijacked from those useless post.

Dale thompson, MM71, dunchues and 2 others Thank this.
  9. I only experienced an earthquake tremor one time in all my years Trucking out.
it was about 1996 with Nestle Transportation out of DeKalb Illinois.
on the outskirts of Fresno one of my favorite stops when I used to run up the old 99 Klein's truck stop located at Fresno off of Hernando boulevard.
there used to be a lot of evening stars that will come out there and wander the lots.
but I was sound asleep and the truck started rocking violently.
I thought it was a big old gal climbing up about ready to knock out the window looking for some fun..
but it rousted me out of the bed.
it only shook for about 5 or 7 seconds but it was a good hard shake..I looked out the window there was nobody there just two trucks next to me sound asleep.
in the morning went in to have breakfast and next morning somebody said hey did you feel the tremors it was a small quake out towards Kern County last night.
I said oh..so that's what that shake was.. I thought it was a big old piece of company looking for some fun... we all had a great laugh over that then you remember clients back in the day they had plenty it was a unique truckstop cuz you had the restaurant in one building you had the fuel Island on its own but you also had a driver's room and bathroom that was on the back side totally unsupervised..
as many years is I ran out there on a solid basis spending days on end out there sometimes running up and down the five for a couple weeks at a time as I didn't need to go back home. Never once experienced anything after.
