    Air Conditioning ISSUE found - "Bug Screen" wearing on AC condenser

    Leak FOUND - long story short - The AC leak I could not find - well finally it blew out
    when I seen a plum of white smoke coming from the radiator area >

    it was the Radiator AC condenser - the BUG SCREEN had worn away at the metal
    on the AC Condenser and was leaking.

    The AC Tech said this is a common issue with Volvo - BUG SCREEN rubbing on the AC
    Condenser.

    FIX - Cost - $485.00 Air Condensor 1.jpg Sir Condenser.jpg
    * AC Condenser - 125.00 aftermarket -
    * AC Tech to remove AC Condenser. - and refill of Freon - 360.00

    Please take a look and see that your BUG SCREEN is not wearing
    on your AC Condenser. - That is all ......... Have a great Day!

    That's why my truck hasn't had AC since before I bought it. Ended up just removing the condenser, dryer, compressor, brackets, lines, etc...all of the way back to the firewall. It's a lot easier to work on these days without all of that crap cluttering up the engine compartment, and it knocked a good 40# off my empty weight. Sounds like it saved me a good chunk of change, too.

    That was exactly what happened to my truck 4 years ago. After i replaced AC condenser, i tied Bug screen with stainless steel wire for Grid to keep it away from AC Condenser.
