schneider opening back up schools

im gonna give Schneider a call now, I will see what they say. I have my CDL with tanker and hazmat, doubles/triples. I will let you know what they say.......

 

ok. For those of us that live in the Northeast, here it is.............Nothing is open yet, I talked to a recruiter and he spoke to his supervisor(put me on hold). He came back on an said that their are tanker positions open if you live in the Dallas or Green Bay area. For those of us in the Northeast, to call back in a month and things may have changed for us here. I strictly asked about the tanker division, not van or intermodal. So, there it is. Hopes this helps.

 

SupaTruka; My advice [FWIW], throw in an app ASAP. And keep on it. I've been with these guys since 1/1/09, and the only complaint I've got are the slow trucks. Still don't feel anyone has lied to me, and always been treated very decently. Good luck.

 

I am in Green bay right now wrapping up my orientation.I come back home on thursday. They said they picked up about 50 million dollars in new business in the Bulk division so they are hiring bulk drivers f.The recruiter gave me her card so i coulkd get a referrall fee if i recommended some one. As far as facial hair you can have the moutasche but it cant go past the corners of the mouth. Training has been great and the instructors are really nice and very knowlegeble..no shouting or trying to intimidate yu etc. Its alittle rushed since they are trying to do everything i n 6 days.After thursday I go to Gary In, for 3 day of bulk training and then a couple days off...and then ff with a trainer. I must say though i kind of enjoyed my stay in greenbay.

 

hey, dr5169, can you please let me get that referral? you would definitely get the referral fee, if I get hired. I definitely want that bulk position. I have my CDL with tank and hazmat, i don't have the twic card. Never thought to get it. If you think you can get me in with your referral, that would be AWESOME!!!!. Im going to fill out an app, right now.

 

So I guess A full beard is out of the question for these people?

 

yeah, I got a full beard and I would have to shave it. lol.

 

JUst got back from greenbay... learned alot up there.THe instructors are really cool and laid back. Open book test. One of the guys got kicked out cuz he just wasn't getting it . Actually they said we were the first three inexperinced guys they were hiring for bulk since over the last year or so they were only dealing with experienced drivers. Now I am off to Gary In for three days to do bulk training hands on then two days off and then off with a trainer. However I am glad I did go to greenbay even If I dont stay with the company . They gave us alot of material that was very informative and will no doubt be of a great help to me in my driving career.
