I have a friend who left another job to lease on with Prime and was sent home first day of orientation after being told he was "too fat" for the job. I guess they use your BMI(body mass index) as a determining factor during your physical. This guy hauled cars for years and doesn't have any health factors and now is out of a job. Does anyone know whether or not he can sue?

"doesn't have any health factors"... How about being over obese by at least 10 points.
Prime has a 39 BMI maximum.... thats 9 points over the Obese classification minimum... -
ok day 2 7am u do your fingerprints... guy who runs security is ex california highway patrol..then u go over paper work, drug test, physical, interview... the interview is to make sure what u put about your driving/ criminal record is what is actually on it... DO NOT LIE ABOUT CRIMINAL OR DRIVING OFFENSES TICKETS< ACCIDENTS JAIL... they will know and will send u home.. if ur honest ull be alot better off they will work with u... 2 people sent home for not disclosing criminal record and they will get you for falsifying an application...u see lots of company/ lease/ o/o drivers here and the millennium building is pretty awesome.. indoor basketball court gym/store... everyone says hello.. wed is learing the smith system and then go on driving simulator..if u are looking to come here get your cdl permit first..its alot easier..and bring 100 bucks cash or money order.. thats the fee they charge so if u pop ur piss test or get sent home they make some of the loss back..they say fri we will get assigned our cdl instructor and be out for 4-5 weeks...u need 100 hours... but they want atleast half that ny in city driving by the way they talk.. trucks are all nice and clean..all look pretty new also.. food is ok here too... dont know if anyone failed the urine test will know tomorrow at roll call and see who is missing.. class started with 18 and lost 4 allready

The one that was there was a former Marine and then worked for the FBI -
the ex-highway patrol guy just helps out with fingerprinting... that guy normally drives the shuttle bus... and can be a bit of a sour puss. -

just call and ask for someone else and check your application.. we lost another 4 people to medical issues and attitude.. conduct stuff....today was classes from 8am 2 almost 530...they go over lost of stuff... the driving simulators are ok... something ud have to get used too...they dont use the box vans for training anymore they were replaced by the simulators... there a a few who didnt get there permits today either... ..(WORD OF ADVICE..TRY TO GET YOUR CDL A PERMIT BEFORE U COME HERE....) tomorrow is there last chance if they fail they will get the greyhound ride home...the instructors and trainers float around and if u meet someone u like they will pair u up...seems like mostly look for smoker or non smoker. and home state...so no complaints here yet...had a good tornado warning here last nite... everyone was in the hallways for a good 30 mins at least...

I leave on Greyhound on Sunday. I appreciate everything posted so I know what to expect. I'm going to get my permit in Springfield, time constraints and all. I will add what I can as i go through the process. If you are not getting results with your recruiter when you are hiring on, they are more than happy to work with you. I was unable to reach my recruiter on the day I had to have a decision to give my current employer, and Prime simply plugged me in with another to finish the paperwork up. By the way U2 and Iron Pony....not seeing many prime trucks on the I85 corridor in Charlotte recently.... Guess that doesnt bode well for my hometime.....lol
