Illegal in BC when I was looking into them a couple years ago. Kinda dumb, you figure the more you can have something on the deck the better

Yes it would make sense for me to often have an 11 wide, and wish I do frequently.
The permits and markings become a nightmare to run an 11 wide empty though, so I just have a little 10 wide. -
It’s all covered under an annual so it would be no problem across the western provinces. Only ####ty thing would be curfew on fridays and holidays.

If you ever run into the states, remember anything over 8'6" wide as far as a trailer goes is oversize everywhere, needing a permit empty or loaded, and can never be used to haul a legal load, (8'6" or under), it must be empty or have an overwidth load on the deck. That's why they are pretty much a Canadian thing,
but handy here, for sure..Nothereoften and MartinFromBC Thank this. -
Over 8'6 is oversized here to, which is why it has an over width permit on it 365 days a year.
Nothereoften Thanks this. -
Actually, 8'6" is legal, why would you think otherwise.? Check the regs, section 7.06, max width is 2.6 meters, legal with no permit, standard North American trailer width for many years.
-
Which is why i said over 8'6".
You're correct 8'6 is legal.
Over that is not.
I think you just missed the word "over" when you read my post.3noses Thanks this. -
You are exactly right, my mistake!

@not4hire weren't we discussing how much weight a tridrive needed on the steer axle a while ago? I guess this post cleared that up for us.
not4hire and MartinFromBC Thank this. -
