So today was on my way down to Memphis on 55. Great day to drive hardly any trucks on the road and some 4 wheeler traffic. I notice a car coming up on my left side, approaching back of trailer. Look forward again, all the sudden out of corner of my eye I see smoke, look out window the passenger side quarter panel is peeled back like a tune fish can, smoke is pouring out of front of car, pieces of debris are just flying everywhere. Start to slow down because I had no idea what was happening, car then swerved in front of me. Smoke and debris everywhere. Of course I slow down even more since he cut me off. At this point it looked like car was disintegrating. Amazing how much was going through my mind. Did he hit me? Did I hit him? Should I hit the record button on the camera. Should I stop? Should I just keep going?
Didn’t hit the record button, I don’t even know if the camera was set off on its own. But I decided instantly that I would rather not have evidence of me being innocent than to have evidence of me being guilty party. I was still clueless on what happened.
Anyway came to a stop about quarter mile pass the car. Looked in my mirror 2 guys were out of car looking at car. Sat there for about 5 minutes just thinking. Finally got out of truck looked it over not a scratch anywhere other than normal wear and tear on trailer. Walked down to the car, the front tire blew and the tread just tore everything to pieces.
Talked to the 2 kids for a bit, Guy just got his license a month ago and just bought car on Thursday.
They were fine I was fine and continued on my way. But frick still shaking over the whole thing.

Oof, that's a hell of an introduction to what can go wrong out of nowhere for a new driver

Meh, @MIT ain't that new. He's got some time in. The velvet is off his rack at this point ;) He's gonna be just fine out here. Just gonna be learning new stuff like the rest of us do every day. The day you stop learning, hang up yer keys, it's time to quit :D

I was thinking about the kid who had his license for a month, and that happens? That's rough! Sucks that the car was new to him too, could have been a lot worse though
