That's right it's Dickey's. Not to be confused with actual BBQ.

The place to go around here is called KD's but they're not open on Sunday. But they do have truck parking if any of you are in the area.

Only two 40 mile deliveries today meant I had time to kill and it figures half the places I want to go are either jam packed or closed.

I only came here because it was next to the store I stopped at to look for a new cooler. I settled and it was disappointing. Tomorrow is a new day.

 

Oh..and pay the toll on the big bridge!

That’s a dang good position to be in.

We still alive and kickin here. Finished a 60-stager yesterday. Supposed to have another one just like it in a few days. I hear some of the owner/ops with other companies on the radio complaining about lack of work, always talkin bout jumping ship. I reckon a many of them didn’t put money back and pay bills up when things was real good like they knew they should’ve and now they’re regretting it.

I actually welcome a few days between jobs. Gives me time to fix what’s broke and see the family.

I’ve had Dickey’s twice... once after a 13 hour slog in and out of the Bay Area delivering insulation. Best BBQ I had in recent memory.

The second time northbound outta Houston and just needed some dinner. It sucked...

Just a chain that is very hit or miss and cheap.

 

Coming through a little hamlet out here in the Nations I seen a 58 Chevrolet car hauler, had a couple 58 pickups on it. Nothing restored I wasn't quick enough to get pics. I hope I go out that way tomorrow so I can get some.
