You're exactly right. They do the wall thickness test, blacklight and structural weld/crack tests, then like you mentioned all the pressure tests, fitting tests. Definitely alot of certifications needed but I bet a man could do well. Theres a small shop i use just for the annual vessel inspections and federal annuals and they charge out the arse, but they are the only one within many miles that are certified to do it.

We have to do a 1 year leakage and visual test, and then a 5 year pressure and vessel inspection. The 5 year is expensive just for the inspection, let alone what they charge to repair any issues they find.

I bet youd make a killing if you were ever able to invest in the insurance and red tape because you do top shelf work @1951 ford

Just pulled into the Bon Voyage Hotel about a half hour ago. Young girl, not a hotel employee, asked if there was anything that I needed help with, she is trying to make a few bucks. The driver with me, and myself only have a small bag each, but i said sure grab these and run them up to room 208, if you knock a lady will answer, then come back here. I said do a great job on the windows, mirrors, and all lights, left her with the glass cleaner and paper towel. She just moments ago knocked on my room door and said she is done. I went down with her for a look, she did a good job, and she obviously needs cash, so i handed her $20. What a nice girl, asked her age, she told me she is 14, and lives near the hotel. She comes down many evenings as the truck drivers and other guests pull in, asking for little jobs they may have for her to do.
She said that what she did wasn't a big task and $20 was too much so tried to give me $10 back, but I insisted she keep it.
There is hope for some of this new generation of youngsters. This young girl sure has drive, and ambition. My good news story of the day.

    Thanks!

No liner Bob, just a single barrel construction. The wall thickness is somewhere between 1/2" and 5/8" thick. It's a serious chunk of steel.

My empty weight is around 42,000 empty and this is a light trailer. Theres several guys with anhydrous trailers that are 44,000 plus empty.

Yeah that's beefy!! I'm 43,000 empty. That's good that they go through it and rebuild everything every 5 years at least you got a piece of equipment you can trust! Especially with what you're hauling.

Ol Timmy Ray has one sweet piece ‘o heaven.

I am REALLY digging that left mammary hanging out.

Look close enough and I swear I see the beginning of a pepperoni sized nipple.

You go tear that up Timmy Ray and the rest of us will lust after the pic. :blob:

I always wondered what those portable parking lots weighed. Dam those are pretty heavy, but then again you gotta a lot of steel structure goin on there. Makes sense
