Hi everyone,
I have been driving about 4yrs now, someone reached out to me and asking me to work for them as CDL third party examiner. Offered to pay the schooling fees and pay me while in school. I was wondering if the job as examiner, is any good . Any feedback will be appreciated, thanks in advance guys.

The FMCSA website has the requirements listed for all states.
I've heard they don't make a lot. Average around $35,000 .FlaSwampRat Thanks this. -
Bean Jr. and FlaSwampRat Thank this.

I know a few, retired truckers who just make a few bucks testing.

Back in the 90's I took over a 50% pay cut to "move inside" and be an instructor, going to school and getting a CDL Third Party Examiner certification didn't raise the pay in the least. The private schools cannot pay for much and the public schools are just never hiring as anyone would be nuts to leave one.
Outlandish, FlaSwampRat and tscottme Thank this. -
Thanks for the feedback guys, it means a lot. I guess I'm sticking driving trucks till I retire. Pays good, so no complain with that.
