I'm also an o/o for tango. Personally I have no complaints about this company. They treat me fair and I get home when I need to be. Being with this company for me is refreshing because I live in the shreveport area and no complaints about miles or freight. I haven't heard anything about the shell deal but I also will look into it.

Have exhausted all my contacts for a Shell contract deal and have come up with zip. If there is a contract in the works, it is being kept very very very quite. I did find out that most of our OTR freight is being brokered out to "Sorry We're Insured For That" (figure you guys can read in between the lines
).
Have also been informed some new customers are in the works (does not include Shell) due to contracts not being final, I don't believe it would be prudent for me to name companies with ongoing negotiations.
Effective May 1....Tango will be taking over operations for Murphy Bonded Warehouse (International Paper Mansfield LA receiving overflow dock). -
Please forgive this dumb question, what is GP Yard?

Does Tango do a lot of FL runs? I saw one last Wednesday at the cocoa pilot.

So I would be interested in details on tango, whats the pay scale for company drivers have about 20 months OTR , hometime policy, detention and layover pay, what benefits are provided and at what cost, do they do what they promise, what are the hiring areas, I live about 30 miles from their terminal in Minden LA
-
do u think tango is worth for your car shipping?

Afraid I can't help you much on the company driver details. I just only know the owner operator end of it because I have my truck leased to them. The company drivers that I have talked to seem to be doing ok. That is in reference to the ones that work and don't play around in the truck stops and terminals..lol. Layover pay is based on 24 hours without a dispatch or hanging out waiting on a load (such as I am currently doing up here in the windy city waiting on a fedex load) I get 100.00 per layover. Not sure what company drivers get.
Detention is based on if (and as you can guess, you never know until you get settlement sheet) if shipper/receiver pays..you get paid. They do pay all lumpers (rarely have a lumper load) scales, tolls.
Most of the company drivers I have talked to are regional drivers and they get 34-48 consecutive hours per week at home.
Being as you live 30 miles from minden I'm sure they would hire you if you qualify. I have seen them asking for shuttle drivers on the qual comm for IP mills as well as box plant in Minden.
I strongly suggest you talk to some company drivers first. You can find some of them around the Loves in minden and the two truckstops in Coushatta. We haul a booty load of paper out of Campti IP mill and Mansfield IP mill.
