The tarp pay is not very attractive and is paid quarterly. If you leave in the middle of the quarter, you lose this money. They combine it with quarterly safety bonus.

The tarp pay is .01 per mile your paid. If you drive 2500 miles a week, thats a whopping $25 for the week. You might have to tarp two or three times during that week. Your only going to get $25 for the 2500 miles you driven, nothing more. Which I think is very cheap of the company to pay a driver considering what they charge customers for tarping.

Well I dont know to much bout them either, do see a couple of trucks down here in MS from time to time hauling steel pipes/fencing. From there website they seem to be a decent company.(okay cpm, benefits, etc.) Just look into that system 1 and 2 thingy there. I wouldve been in the system 2 program (10-14days out) naw!!!! buck that !!! So i pass it up... Like they tell me, it's up to you to make a decision.:biggrin_25515:

I see this is kind of an old thread but I did an online app and emailed them and they say that they run Internationals and have a few Freightliners but most of those are going to the lease ops.Trucks have ISX Cummins engines (435 HP I'm guessing) Mostly straight 10 transmissions but some super 10s. Also they say 1 week orientation even though I have 2 years van/reefer and no flatbed exp.Hope they can teach me to throw chains and straps and to road test pee test and paperwork in a week (5 days?) Gotta call and talk to them on Monday.Really hope I can get on with them.

Keep in mind, Since they are based out of AL, drivers will have to be AL state certified to p/u or deliver coils in AL.>> http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...l-coil-securement-certification-required.html

I wouldnt pull my bungee cords out of the headache rack for that. I tarped a 1'x8'x8' pallet today with a 14'x14' tarp and that paid me $20 for the stop and $25 for the tarp. They should have one of their bean counters tarp and untarp a load of lumber and tell them they just earned $15 cause they only ran 1500 miles this week. Jerks

I have seen a lot of them in cumberland city tn at temple. Talked to a few. I always ask how a driver likes their co. I never got any bad comments from the ones I talked too.
