Unrealistic dispatch?

Tell them you are tired and need to wait until morning to head out. It is doable theoretically but with you tired it is not safe. Ask them to reschedule the delivery to Friday morning. Best wishes!

 

In theory it can be done but reality is a different story, that's 20 and a half hours from now. By the time you add in pre-trip, fuel stop, 30 min break, 6 or 8 destruction zones in Ohio, the fairly certain 10 you're gonna need to take if you run short on drive time and whatnot I'd say tell them now you'll be there as soon as you can but it won't be on time.

what am i missing here. he is a canadian hauler. is he even allowed to pick up freight in the states and deliver in the states?

i thought it was that a canadian hauler can come into the states, make a delivery, then pick up a load, again in the states, but had to take that load back to canada..????

has all that been changed?

 

well here is what i just looked up, and from what i am reading, you cannot pick up a load in the states, and deliver in the states.

i for one, know where windosr is, i been up that way a time or 2...

but if your load IS in Detriot, then i do not believe this is a legal thing for your company to do. your load should (from what i read) must be picked up IN windsor, THEN taken into the states for a delivery...

you can only legally deadhead from state to state, to pick up a load, and scoot back to canada....but NO pick ups in the states, and deliver in the states.....said so right there above

 

ok then, you were pre-loaded in canada..???

if so, got it...

you got to remember, it's how you started off saying detroit to NJ, giving an impression you are making the pick up IN detroit.....

 

also, there are probablly MORE american truckers that know parts of canada, than you could ever realize....please do not discount our knowledge
