I just always keep a pair in the truck with me just in case someone requires it.

Dunno if it's awesome, it's definitely different. Gonna have to spend at least half an hour cleaning the trailer out before I pick up my Coke load tomorrow. If anyone wants to quit eating junk food go to a potato chip plant and take a whiff. Christ.

Just curious how the entire process works. I will drive past several Loves to get to the loves I was assigned for fuel solutions. Many times there will be a couple other Millis trucks fueling. I get the discounts just wondering why they would get more of a discount at a specific Loves or pilot.

I backed up to a conveyor belt with a boom arm. I had to be guided by a couple guys, one on each side. Once the boom was where they wanted it, I stopped. Once the trailer started loading up I had to pull forward a few times so that it was relatively evenly distributed. I gotta hand it to them, they did great on the weight. I was pretty impressed. They have a very fascinating setup. I wouldn't ever do another load like this, but it wasn't because of either the shipper or receiver. It's just an overall pain. But I enjoyed the experience because it's just a different aspect of our job. I was almost set to join a company that paid less than where I'm going and has forced dispatch. But it's a farm related job, and the redneck in me misses farms.

There isn't a quick answer. Prices are based on region. So... I never even bother with my apps if I'm fueling at home, I get the best prices in the country right here. But if I go east in Ohio I'll pay Pennsylvania prices because I'm close to the border. Same with every other state. I will never fuel in Virginia even though there are good money spots, because of IFTA. Same with Tennessee and Kentucky. Virginia is the worst place in the entire country to fuel. Kentucky and Tennessee are right behind. And those two states have ad valorem as well, so screw them. Someone else can stock their stores, I won't. I feel like those folks aren't counting on us being intelligent. Gentlemen, you lost this battle with me. Sorry not sorry.

I'm curious... I wear contacts because my vision with them is far superior to glasses. However, I need to get glasses at some point for moments like now. I'm fighting my 3rd case of pinkeye since I started trucking. During those times, I'd like to have glasses because it goes away much faster if I'm not using contacts. I'm actually not supposed to be using my contacts at all right now, but it's all I have. Are your glasses ok and is your vision ok with them? Those 1 hour vision places make me nervous. I don't feel like missing an exit or taking out a car full of kids because the clarity is questionable.

Yeah, I'm hoping the quality is where it should be. First time I've ever not gone to my own eye doctor who has my complete history. I had no glasses since mine broke in China and I figured I better get some new ones so I have vision options and not completely reliant on my contacts, getting the in in the morning or then feeling like crap as I get toward the end of my day. Figure it was worth the investment and they had a nice sale.

Idk if you guys have Americas Best for contacts and glasses but that's where I go. With our insurance last month I got an exam, 6mnths of contacts(stigmatism both eyes so they aren't cheap) 2 pairs of glasses for under $200

Dam. Not sure how bad your astigmatism is, mine is pretty severe. I have toric lenses. Costs me around 200/year for just those :(
