Although I hate him, I do respect @Humblepie. He recommended the ISX full tilt intake, so dad ordered it. Well, he ordered the unpainted trademark stealing knockoff for $225 on eBay. He didn’t get the ISX paint like I suggested, oh well. No California anyways.

Installed and no cuts or scrapes on our hands. Fits perfect. If it gains one tenth mpg it pays itself off in two months. More interested in the lower boost psi and cooler egt’s.

I think it saved Cummins 10 cents in cast aluminum per motor.

 

It a Venturi. It’s supposed to speed up air flow to help suck down the egr. There is also a big pipe that went in there originally for the egr that took half that hole.
