i do not believe the o/p was indeed that truck driver....he posts a lot of accidents....and IF each accident he posted, was actually HIM driving..??

    i'd say he'd be a real magnet for them....lol

the truck driver, was on the main road. any cross traffic HAS the duty to stop, or yield to thru traffic.

this is why, if i recall Rte 50/301(??) in MD/DE has crossover bridges along that stretch of road, (they were siezing land from the farmers when i was basically leaving that job) and constructing those cross over briges, as way too many people were doing the very same exact thing as in the video. there was/were signs posted as well to "drive with your headlights on"

No one said the truck driver had any liability in the collision. What was said was he SHOULD have seen it coming and he COULD have lifted off the accelerator. A lawyer COULD make the case that it was intentional, since the truck driver did NOTHING, not a lift, not a steering correction, nothing. No matter how 'right' the truck driver was, he could have taken steps to minimize the damage.

I've also stated that there have been many times that I wish I could conscientiously just plow through some retard who demonstrated how little their own life meant to them. I don't, though. I decelerate, maybe tap the brake, definitely hit the train horn and maybe get as close as possible without actually hitting them.

(why is a word that means mentally incompetent blocked out? ) LoL

    What video did you watch?
The one I saw the truck driver couldn’t have done a thing to avoid the collision.

Funny, because at 4-5 seconds in I probably would have lifted in anticipation of the white car also trying to make it through the intersection. But then, I'm also the person lifting their foot when I see a line of cars half a mile away and they're all showing brake lights. I know some of you drive WOT until you're positive traffic is stopped.

I think I’ve met you on the highway.
That was me waiting to turn left on the road with a 50 mph speed limit and you slowed down to about 15 mph and stared at me as you drove past me.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

The telephone pole came a bit close. Seems there was some good luck in it.

Legally speaking, and from an insurance standpoint, that one's gonna be 100% on the Lexus, courtesy of Failure to Yield. One of the few times the "offending" truck will be completely and totally in the clear.
That's why I give my air horn a good pull whenever I remotely suspect something like that could be happening. It's about all I really can do most of the time; they have me running at 78- and 79,000 so often that stopping in any less than a quarter mile is impossible 90% of the time
