Again he "tries" to hit 10k. Its good to set the bar that high so if/when he falls short he can still say he made more than most. I don't use paper logs either. Doesn't always mean i'm going to hit my quota of 2+k take home money

    Intothesunset Thanks this.

Don't forget hogan. Who took all of the carmax trash the united road ran into the dirt. You're right about the dually and wedge guys. Even the hot shot guys. They all swear up and down that they can make more than a big truck doing the same work

    #### what happened to the days of the kid who played with all the yellow iron in his sand box growing up wanting to play with yellow iron as a career/job?? Are those days long gone?? Does that kid no longer exist?? Or is that just the assumption most people make about the younger guys?? Or people outside their field??

I didn’t say I didn’t enjoy my job, but it’s just that. A job. You got upset because for some reason you think I was attacking you. I was trying to give you my opinion from the other side. I plainly stated the money isn’t much different from the two. I also said if you were happy (key word) to stay where you are. I think you need to re read what I wrote. The ego part wasn’t necessarily point towards you, but if you get into this side you will see who I’m talking about. There are guys out here who think they are truck gods, because they haul big loads. When all it really boils down to is patience. It’s not some magical power or potion. Just plain ol’ patience.

I think you sir are entirely too sensitive. I magically knew you were a younger guy, and purposely came to give YOU a hard time. You need to quit reading everything as though it’s negative.

PoleCrusher, Oxbow and tramm01 Thank this.

See that's the problem with writing on the internet/text. You can't see my facial expressions and i cant see yours. I know you didn't attack me. I value everyone's words. I guess it's alot harder to have this conversation when you don't know the person on the other side of the screen

It's okay. No harm no foul. It is incredibly rewarding to deliver something really big. But, I don’t really believe it’s all that hard. You have to be able to remain cool under pressure, and be meticulous with your movements. It has it’s fair share of ######## as with car hauling. It has lots of boring times sitting and waiting. Lots of out of pocket if you’re an owner op. Lots of liability and stress. But as does car hauling.
