Imo, it is. Only a matter of time stateside, and what happens there affects us here.

Smart o/o and companies will do fine. Those that are not in a good place will fail.

Yes been like that since last 3 months might have to uber it out for next year or 2. Good thing I didn't become a O/O with this company like I was looking to do earlier this year but again this is like a 30 truck company and I'm guessing it might be missmanagemaent rather then recession maybe other big carriers are doing fin yet

No, its everyone in the Tandem Van/Reefer market, even the biggest, Bison/TransX are feeling it. Challenger is almost totally out of work (outside of the Ontario Terminal) from what I hear. Dry Van has been hit the worst, Reefer is steady but slow. Bison and TransX are shifting 75%+ of their power to Reefer fleets. iHaul gobbled up H&R to get a bigger presence in west coast reefer, with Triple 8 right behind them. Lightspeed, People Express and Cogent are almost bankrupt.

CN/TransX and Bison are both throwing huge money at Intermodal Reefer, with Bison buying Celadon's temp controlled Intermodal Assets, and CN/TransX buying H&R's.

LTL is the only thing keeping busy, which i'm sticking too. I wanted to go step deck, but not a good time IMHO.

Rumor has it in the flying J Parking lot, there are big money problems at Arnold Brothers and Rig Logistics.

One last thing, if you go Uber, your experience will not be reconized after 6 months, so you will have to start all over again. I suggest looking into Walmart (no joke) or XTL, lots of guys I know have already bailed and gone there, they enjoy it and are home every night/weekend off and it pays more than OTR at Bison or TransX.

Yes I agree with everything you said I think too many foreigners open up these small fleet companies when times are good and now even big companies are struggling but hopefully things pick up next year or year after and then have another good 4 year period then back to square one lol trucking for u

I have a problem kind of like that because I tried Yard Jockey almost a year. Some companies don't see that as trucking experience and the better ones would like to see a year of recent experience in a road truck.

I applied to same tanker outfits and that's basically what I was told, so I'm 'refreshing' pulling vans for a year and might try again for tanker.
