LOL, I am ging to Gary. I chose the Refrigerated division. All these people are failing the blood presure test. I have never had a high blood presure reading in my life.
I sure hope I do not have a problem with it. They must be making them run 2 or 3 miles up there .

Ohh the agility thing. No, no running lol. It's basically push, pull, lift, climb and squat. They check your pulse after each activity and see if it's within a specific range. I had to ask my husband how they do the pushing thing, I was envisioning the tackle dummy things football players hit into lol...it's a bar attached to a rope attached to a machine attached to the wall, sure ruin my visions lol.

LOL, that was hilarious.....

They make van/refer drivers do that test? I guess the test for flatbedders was tarping the first load without keeling over.
-
I don't know if they make the van/reefers do it, I thought maybe they made everyone? Hmm...
Yeah, the lumber tarps are enough to knock anyone on their butts if they're not careful.
That'd be a good test...ok here's a loaded trailer, now take the 8 foot drops and by yourself get that tarp up on there...if you survive congratulations! If you fail, well, we'll put you in a different division when you get done wheezing lol -
They make everyone do it. The flatbedders get a few extra tasks in theirs.

I never went through any sort of test like that...

I am a newbie, I start Truck driving school at spindale NC tomorrow June 1st. I have been a diesel mechanic for 19 years and 14 of those years where with detroit diesel, I am making a career change due to tired of getting dirty(greasy), hurting and bored. I will be in school for 5 weeks and have been pre qauilified for several trucking companies. I think I have made my mind up and going with Roehl. I have been accepted and have taking an physical and schedule for orientation on July 6th at the Atlanta terminal. Any helpful info would be great and what is expected from me in the future, as I am ready and eager to get started in new career....... I know I will start at bottom and work my way up.... same as being a diesel mechanic. I have been around trucks all my life and drive bobtail on regular basis. Thanks and Happy Trucking!!!!
