I've probably seen it as a kid. I grew up around there. My dad hauled logs around there.

    Cool!
When i lived near Ainsworth, I hauled from all over the kootenays, and into any of 6 different mills, 1 of which was in Revelstoke, and part of the reason I fell in love with the area.
When young I would ask why we hauled logs north so far to revelstoke, and other times from the revelstoke area way south to other mills. It just didn't make sense, and seemed like a waste. But their was never a shortage of work.

Kind of wonder what's going to happen with forestry these days. Canfor shut down some mills. Almost seems like the industry is on its way out now.

Well let's see here, shall we ? Hmm ?
You profess to be a Believer and Follower of the Genral Moto's Corpration right ?
As such then you must know that the hierarchy established by aforesaid Corpration places the Cadillac brand at the tippy top of the stable of automobiles they manufacturer, correct ? o_O
Imma wait a minute for a response before I go on and continue my presentation Your Honors.
    I move for a recess.

    Motion granted * taps gavel * :D

Im guessing in Canada you got a ticket for a closed container ticket in the back seat? Or for not having a drafter on your key chain?

Question for anybody who might know.
I know the kenworth subform won’t have the answer cuz guys with common sense hangout in here

So I was wrapping my dashboard and I connected the batteries to move the truck into the shop and the key touched a wire and it shorted something out.

So the truck turns over but won’t start
All the fuses and relays are good. This truck doesn’t have a battery ecm wire in the box I believe it’s on the fire wall and the two fuses on the firewall are good.

I got a code 71 it’s for the key switch.. is it possible that the key switch it’s self shorted out internally?

Will be replacing the switch like Thursday hoping thats just the issue before I have to start calling electricians around.

I could see it starting long long ago, I do zero logging now. The price we used to get in the 1980s and 1990s to haul logs was staggering. Then it really started to drop, and I got out completely, now I am happy with just moving equipment, and hauling fuel and gravel. The river of money to be made was 20-30 years ago, I have been driving trucks for 34 years plus. Now that river is more a creek, and the money has shifted as well. Still good money in the construction industry end of trucking. Hauling equipment to job sites, or hauling the gravel they need. No big money in fuels, but it does okay. If the bottom falls out of the trucking industry completely I will park half my trucks, and only do the best paying gravel and heavy haul loads. I would hate to do that to my employees, but I can survive a drought, as I have zero debt. Tossed my hat in the ring last year, and gave extreme heavy haul a shot, didn't stay in it long though. But a guy didn't want to wait 5 months for a low bed, and have to try and shop for a heavy haul tractor, so I sold him mine for almost what I paid, so no harm done. It looked good to run 12 axles, and it probably is for the right person, but not for me. I have ordered 3 new lowbeds, and will be selling 1 of the 3 I have now when they arrive. Slowly rebuilding more old KW W900s, and when done they will be added to the fleet, as well. Once its all here and ready I will have many good options for hauling equipment, using 6 axle up to 10 axle loads, but won't ever haul more than 10 axle loads again. My place in the industry is in the bush, or doing medium heavy loads, not 12 axles in the city, or across provinces. Gravel trucks are always busy except late fall, and late winter, but 9 or 10 months of the year they just go nonstop. We all have to find our niche, and mine is not running the hwy for days, or pulling a tandem van behind a tandem truck at hwy speeds seeing how many miles I can log. I prefer to haul on roads that scare the hell out of most people, but make me happy, and nobody cares if I only average 20 mph at the end of the day. People often don't get how I can put in a 14 hour day, but only run 250 to 350 miles, until I take them with for a few days. Then they seem to get it, and almost wonder how i get so many miles in. Sure i have 600 plus mile days to occasionally, but not very often. I would rather haul 200,000 lbs and be over width, length, and height, in the snow, on the steepest mountain roads imaginable. Rather than run legal 5 to 7 axle loads down the trans Canada hwy.
I am just wired differently than most people are.
