Are there any big mines, quarries or gravel pits? A big aggregate outfit like rogers group might work if theyre in the area.

Go sit at the cheapest local diesel truck pumps and ask drivers getting fuel with local signage. Youll find out who is hiring in half an hour.

And that's why giving notice is way overrated.

I've kept a good relationship with every company I drove for. I've always given 2 week notice. I can return to work at those companies if I need to.

I think some drivers make little effort to find a good company. Argue all of the time with that company. And driver & company are both looking to shaft each other. 2 week notice in those circumstances is like making an appointment to punch someone in the nose.

I'm the same way. If they weren't good enough the first time around why would they be any better the second time. If they are a fair company they get two weeks if I have reason to doubt them then they get same day notice. It all depends on how they act towards their workers.

I went back to my old company flatbed job for a year and a half. But when I left the first time it wasn’t just to take another job. But for most people I can see why they wouldn’t want to go back to an old job.
