Congrats on the interview. Good luck. If you have to schedule he drug screen and physical assessment then that means they want you so pass that and then you will be in. Good luck. Keep us posted on the status. It’s nice here. No micro management. We may not be big like the others but the pay is decent and they treat us like adults. Not to say other companies are being treating their employees like kids I just hear the stories. From my experience from companies I’ve been with they treat us like adults and leave us alone and let us do our job.

Thanks a lot! I’d really like to get on that this location, it’s practically a brand new facility and everything is still clean. He did mention being a bit understaffed and most guys are burning through most of their 70hr clock. That’s decent pay. He did tell me to double check my app and make sure I didn’t leave anything off like tickets, etc. Which I didn’t.

Yea just double check that. They make sure they cross their t’s and dot their i’s before hiring anyone. They will find out. So don’t leave anything out. As long as it’s not more than two or three violations or serious offenses you will be fine. It’s pretty good here and you will make good money and that area. The local thing isn’t for me. Im doing the team thing and I don’t ever burn my 70. I’m around 55-60 hours a week.

I don’t have any criminal past and not even a parking ticket on my mvr. My last speeding ticket was March 26, 2001. I learned my lesson then lol

Yes we will definitely keep it going. Here is a quick update actually. I just heard that we are getting a raise at the end of August. Linehaul drivers will be making $0.67 cpm and team drivers will be making $0.69 cpm each. I don’t know what local P&D drivers will be making but I believe it’s top out around $27.80 or something like that. I will believe that when it reflects on my paycheck next month. Companies say one thing and do another. But if it’s true that definitely puts me well of the 6 figure range.

@Kstrong86 can you give details on how much you guys get pay as far breaking sets or if you guys get pay for fueling. Also do you guys have extraboard drivers. Ive also been told that AAA has like some sort of wallet health deal, if you dont use the money you will get a check for the unused funds. How true is such statement.

That’s good pay. I know at my location the line haul rate is currently .63 and the top out hourly is 26.4. Not sure if a raise is coming or not. Still decent rates imo

We don’t get paid for breaking sets or building them. Or should I say they say it’s included in our pay if we do have to do it. But we don’t have to break them or build them. The yard dogs do for us. Now I don’t trust anyone so I double and triple check their work. I know how to break and build sets and yes I have done it before because I didn’t feel like waiting on the yard dogs. That’s just me. Just depends on how I’m feeling. If I want to go right away i do it myself and keep it moving or if I don’t want to then I wait lol. We do have extra board drivers. Here they call them long pool drivers. (Don’t know why lol) We don’t get paid for fueling either. We are not your typical big boy LTL company. They don’t pay for everything you do like fedex freight or old dominion but still it’s a good outfit. Yes they do have a health benefit wallet. It’s called an HSA. So if you decide to sign up for it you determine how much you want deducted from your paycheck each week to go on that account. They give you a debit card and you can use that debit card to pay co pays doctor visits eyeglasses prescriptions xrays labs etc. anything health related only. There is a $7,000 cap on it but the funds never expire. So whatever funds you don’t use rolls over to the following year. I don’t believe you get a check or a return of the money you didn’t use unless you were terminated or leave the company then you might which probably might get taxed like 20%. You know Uncle Sam gotta get his.
