Interesting, isn’t it?

Snowman has been here a good long time... didn’t think he would get booted over such trivial matters. Thought this place was a bit better than that but I suppose not. Apparently it’s disrespectful to question authority so I’ll shut up now...

I see them strapped or chained to the frame a lot.

The loader or button top just puts the logs on the bunks. Truck driver throws two cable wraps on the logs only, and away they go. Drive about 3 minutes and stop to to tighten the wraps up because they get loose fast. Drive out to near the hwy, stop again and tighten them up again, because you can likely see or be stopped by commercial vehicle safety, and if the wraps are loose you are guaranteed a ticket.

 

Bunks!! That's the word I was trying to remember.. I imagine bunks on a regular log truck are much stronger than what is on that flatbed. But what do I know...I'm just an outta work Carhauler..
