If you're empty and heading home absolutely NO reason to stop for a 10. Use PC and if after 30mins its kicks you into violation it is no big deal. Either let Diane know that its going to happen beforehand or after you get home send her a msg telling her you cane home for hometime used all the PC you were allowed. She will fix it and nothing will be said.

Honestly you guys worry about that fn QC wayyyyyyyy to #### much. If you have to violate every once in awhile for some reason guess what, NOTHING WILL HAPPEN! Lol. I can't even tell you times I've violated for whatever reason, and i just send Diane a msg and go about my day.

 

I don't worry about Diane as much as I worry about what's gonna happen in the unlikely event that somebody wants to look at my logs in the next 7 days for whatever reason.

Any of you ever got fined for s HOS violation?

 

The universe makes a lot more sense to me now that I realize that the "N" in "New Jersey" is silent.

Finally made it out of Jersey. Now I'm sitting on the side of 80 in PA with a blown drive tire.

Fun times.

 

Tire guy came here expecting a trailer tire. What in this message says "trailer tire?"

 

The last time I was in Jersey I blew a tire on I-78 as I was heading in.

Went thru there today and looped around NYC on I-287 up to I-87 without incident other than the usual traffic. Made it thru before evening rush hour started.

 

What a waste of a day....get to Trenton at 0645 and there is a list...so get the re trainee back into his own truck and I wait for a load....0900 i get a load it delivers 122miles away in Marion OH for a 1330 appt..ughh .

So i head there and get up on 675 when guy on CB yells at me to tell me my re cap is coming off 1 of my trailer tires....Fn Great. Send in msg they say take it to Huber Heights..take it there it takes 2.5hrs get it changed, and now I'm not making the 1330 appt. Get there at 1345 and I leave at 1600. Soooo over 7 hrs spent on a 122mile load. Lets just say I didnt make much $$ today lol

2 more days till vaca...2 more days till vaca....2 more days till vaca....

 

Where did you go in Marion? The graphics place with the yard that's as cratered as Aleppo?

 

My blown tire adventure got even more exciting. Tire guy tore up my truck! If I heard him right, what happened was that the jack started slipping when he tried jacking up the axle, so he put the jack under that crossbar that runs under the rear airbags. Well I've got 43k in the box, and that bar didn't appreciate having to support all that weight when he jacked it up. The flanges on the bar where it bolts to the frame broke. Lovely. So they ended up having to tow me to Wilkes-Barre so they could fix it. Fortunately the guy was able to get the part there quickly and have me fixed fairly quickly. I slept in the storage yard where they took my trailer and got out of there this morning.
