That's good. But If there is no warranty left take the number tag off the block by the wire harness. And just leave the factory stamped numbers showing. That silver tag has a new engine number on it. This is stupid right here. If DOT reads the new number tag that's what year engine you have.
Take the silver tag off.

You can take the tag off, but the new 06-re serial number will be stamped into the block too. They grind the old one off.Intothesunset and Drtrucker08 Thank this.

Or dumd enough. Your choice.
-
Why do i need to remove the tag? Can you please explain
-
When engine was rebuilt they ground off the original engine serial numbers. Than they stamp new ones. Essentially screwing the buyer of using paper log.
Unless you restamp old engine serial numbers on block.jamespmack Thanks this. -
@Drtrucker08
Is there an X in the first few letters of your vin? I wasn’t aware of any Cascadia gliders in 2012. Who built it? -
Yes it is pretty dumb to pay 140k+ for a glider and be restricted to elogs cause of a few numbers on your engine
-
Fitzgerald most likely. Or Harrison.
-
You’re a wealth of knowledge. Pretty sure Fitz never made a Cascadia. That was a deal between Kustom and Harrison’s and 2012 was too early for that to happen. I could be wrong, which is why I asked OP about his VIN. Do you own a glider?
