I have a Lease Purchase Contract with a commercial truck dealeship. In my contract it states lessor will pay base plates, 2290 heavy highway tax, permits and bob tail insurance. I have had to pay all of this for the last 2 years. Now they have told me my contract is no good because they decided to stop doing a lease purchase program. They have raised my truck payment from $299.00 per week to $499.00 per week. They told me if I did not agree to this they would repossess my truck. There is an arbitration agreement in the contract. But they have already said my contract is not good anymore. Can I sue for money lost and breach of contract?

how about you contact a good attorney. i wouldnt base my decision on what people on here say. if you feel its the right thing to do. then hire a lawyer and file suit.

You can have a lawyer look over your contract but I can promise you thy can do that. These people do this for a living and you don't. If you don't like the new deal then turn the truck in and face the consequences from there. The law is on their side. Good luck

Did the contract not cover what the payment would be set at?
