So does this mean you were advised to not say how much you were charged? Can you tell if it was for a/c due to consistently hot weather or heat for cold weather?

I hole heartedly agree with the point of the APU, if they want idle time down then put on an APU. We have all been in those truck stops and we have all asked similar questions about the stupid idleing policies. Personally i think that if there is states that have no idle laws(such as the one i live in) it should be law to have an apu.

I found the cdl handbook so please disregard thanks. Other than gen knowledge, air brakes and combination vehicles what else should I start on?... perhaps vehicle inspection? Thanks

Not to mention, buying your food to have food available in case you end up in these places and then it goes bad because of the no idle policy.

And whoever decided opti-idle wasa good idea is my enemy, really getting woke up whenever the reefer cuts on or off can be annoying but the reefer can be put on cont. but the truck shutting on and off and shaking like they do makes for a rough night sometimes

The charge for over idle is roughly nat average plus 10 % or at least that's how it broke down for us last year as company drivers all I can say is invest in some breeze way screens and some fans won't keep you real cool during the day but with a bottle of water it will keep you alive to bad they don't fear heatstroke lawsuits

Even with an APU our idle is between 3-4%!

Being a L/O has some small advantages!
