@motocross25 I went in and got dismissed after 2 hours and paid 6 dls for parking. The county pays you 6 dls for your time so you can donate to a non profit or have them send ya a check.

Dont forget fellas once you in the room or basement, you guys will see a nice introduction video telling ya is your duty to attend jury duty. After that video is over nothing but hurry up and wait.

I personally toss the Jury notice. But yeah OTR drivers can get out of it, just call in tell they your out of town no way to know when you'll be in town.

I never did. Did it once in MI and once in TX.
Remember, a mailed letter is not a summons, it just a letter.
That said, a few months ago when my wife got called into jury duty it came via registered mail. A bit harder to deny it was received....

Never, I have received letters telling me that I would be fined if I did not attend, but I file them with the summons, been doing this for 40 plus years, along with my wifes summons also.

    Texas_hwy_287 Thanks this.

You can be legally served thru the mail, that part is not an issue, but the court does not pursue it, at least so far. Besides I'd be good on a jury, cause they would be guilty if they were arrested, right. Hang um high..
