The computer only let's me use, i think 1200 dpi. i'm not sure what the black and white was----maybe only 600. i'm lost-in-the sauce when it comes to scanners----this one is more troublesome than my first one.

    2) i think they/we did file for bankrupcy last summer.

Oh, i'm sorry! i didn't know you meant dependants--- i thought you meant dpi----dots per inch.

    i don't have any dependants?

As far as those boxes you check off when first filling out the tax forms when you're hired, i think i checked off 2 or maybe one or something.

I am a Greatwide company driver who drives for the dedicated division. We got bought out a few years ago by Greatwide. I used to average just over $60,000 per year doing a dedicated run once a night. I'll probably make about $42-45,000 this year due to the slow economy.
This company has many divisions so I'll only give my input on my division.
Greatwide has turned the company trucks from 70 MPH to 65 MPH and now are in the process of turning them down to 62 MPH.
Greatwide has stopped contributing to our 401K match.
They are purchasing new basic trucks compared to the better trucks the previous company supplied us with.
They kept our raise this year (even though they just signed a contract that included annual raises from the shipper.)
They have just completed a bankruptcy. They claimed they acquired alot of debt when they acquired other companies.
Alot of decisions made from the suits in the offices with no advice from the drivers who know the job.
Driver morale has taken a plunge since Greatwide took over.
Greatwide is all about the dollar compared to the previous owner who was all about the driver.
There is alot of other stuff that makes it hard to like Greatwide but they are minor compared to what others have been through in other posts.

Things are still decent but it was a much better company to work for before Greatwide took over.

    Baack Thanks this.

They were. My company - Prime - was looking to buy them out around the turn of the year while they were in bankruptcy. They got some financing somewhere, and the sale fell through...

You need some tax DEDUCTIONS!!! Wife and 2 or 3 kids works well, minimum hassle 'cause you're a truck driver!!! Oh, company sends you home too often? Try Swift, they have no idea what the word "home" means.

Are you referring to when he files his taxes or on his paystub? My husband and I have our taxes held at single and none, despite there being dependants because we want more taxes taken out. More out, better odds of not having to pay in when the years done and possibly get a refund.
