Same here. That’s what we get now that’s just what I heard through the grape vine. Don’t know how true it is. I haven’t heard it from a supervisor or the boss mouth yet. But I’m still happy with our rates right now. Way more money I was making over the road and gone for weeks at a time and sitting at shippers and receivers for hours and hours. Lol

Well, finished at the physical assessment center, passed that. Got a call a few mins ago from TM asking how it went, then he asked when I could do my drug screen. He did tell me I didn’t have a job offer or anything yesterday during the interview, but I really hope this is a good sign. Can’t help but getting a bit excited
Texas_hwy_287 Thanks this. -
Great news man. Yea you don’t have the job offer until drug screen comes back. Once that comes back you should be golden. Same thing happened to me. Physics assessment was done and then just waiting on the drug screen which was like two or three days for me I think then he offered me the job.

Now i gotta ask do you know how many miles extraboard drivers are getting. Also i gotta ask a silly question is AAA changing colors on their trucks. Lately I been seeing alot of white trucks with the AAA symbol.
-
Just depends on what Terminal you are out of. Every terminal is different. So I can’t speak of how many miles an extra board driver from the Atlanta area is getting compared to the Dothan, AL area ya know. As far as the trucks are concerned I have no idea. I see a mixture of both. I have noticed that their blue trucks are single axle trucks and their white trucks are twin screw or dual axle trucks. The brand new trucks like the 2019s and 2020s that I have been seeing sleepers and day cabs are blue so they may be switching back to all blue now who knows. AMX (Alabama Motor Express) has all white trucks and I know we get their old sleeper trucks sometimes. AAA Cooper owns them from what I was told. So maybe that is where the white trucks come from.Lonesome, Texas_hwy_287 and Matt1924 Thank this.

I thought for a minute AAA has contractors like saia.
Matt1924 Thanks this. -
No contractors here sir.

Had a buddy of mine tell me he was denied employment with AAA because of a revoked license from almost 20 years ago. How would that even affect anything? I would have thought they wouldn’t check back beyond a 7 year MVR, so now I’m nervous. I got a speeding ticket 18 years ago but didn’t put that on my app because it did t ask for that far back. I’m heading over to the terminal here in a bit to sign a release for my drug screen, so I’ll inquire about it when I’m there I suppose
Texas_hwy_287 and Kstrong86 Thank this. -
They got cameras on drivers. Huge no go for me. My buddy will make 100K+ with them this year tho.
-
Yea they got cameras but doesn’t bother me none. I don’t do anything I’m not suppose to be doing anything anyways. I don’t text and drive and I don’t have the phone in my hand. The phone and gps is always mounted so I don’t ever need to touch. Everything is voice activated these days. Some people don’t like the cameras but I’m not going to let a camera stop me from making 100k. I just hope they get my good side lol.mountains938, Matt1924 and Texas_hwy_287 Thank this.
