In searcy AR off exit 42 there is a LNG filling station. We never see anyone using it yet. It's relatively quiet.

They have been around for a while, just don't catch on too much on account of the limited range they can run.
Not to mention one explodes once in a while too. lol

Not to mention no power, not to mention no resale value, not to mention always on the hook, not to mention no range.

Just when you thought trucks couldn't get any worse

Several years ago I towed a long haired hippie type of guy 200 miles to albuquerque in a little bus he had bought from some university back in north carolina or somewhere, off of ebay.
He had bought 2 of them, but thought it would be better to get the other one hauled home, because he had been towed so many times.
The thing just had a 200 mile range and there was just so many places a guy could get natural gas, mostly at city yards or universities, but he was proud of the fact, that most of them did not even charge him for the gas. lol
This cat had a PLAN and it was going to help save the world. He was going to start a tour company at Grants New Mexico and use these two buses to haul people around to see the sights. The closest fuel was in Albuquerque, which he told me it didn't cost that much to drive 80 miles to get fuel, no problem.
To my goofy way of thinking, is he could run 80 miles to get fuel, then 80 miles back, ride around 30 or 40 miles then had better be headed back for more fuel. lol

Can you imagine the ride the driver would take if he got T-boned in the LNG tank just below his/her seat????

Farmers used to be bad about airing their tires up with propane, done it myself in a pinch a time or two.
Some braniac at a mobile home manufacturer down around witchita Tx come up with the idea to air the mobile home tires up with propane. All fine and dandy, except them guys always blow some tires before they get one to a dealer, especially if running the interstate.
When the first one blew. it set off a chain reaction on that side and pretty much destroyed the home. lol

UPS runs them around PA...out of Harrisburg I think. LNG will vent off in routine operation, unlike high-pressure CNG, so strictly a no smoking deal right there. A bunch of outfits around me have CNG rigs also.
