I'm on the fence, but I absolutely love motorcycles. Additionally the electric bikes are all chinese crap that might not last the year.

Charging an electric bike on your truck might prove challenging.

An electric anything would not do what I would want a bike to do, might as well just have a standard bicycle.
I know a guy that spent quite a bit on an electric set up for his bike, and never made it work for long, just trying to get around town.

Still has to be plugged in somewhere.
A 2 gallon gas can will fill my bike up. Seems much easier to carry a 2 gallon can.

Lots of trucks have inverters these days. I just prefer to be powered by explosions.

Like you I prefer a gas powered bike, but my trucks are also day cabs, so no inverters.

My only exception to that would be an electric trials bike but I don't think anyone makes one that is road legal. Trials bike would be super light weight and they are a ton of fun but I've never seen a road legal one newer than like 1970 and you would have severally limited comfort and range if you could find a current road legal one.

If I hauled a bike, I would want something sufficient to ride at the very least 40 or 50 miles, electric, trials or even a 200 would be on the light side.
Some of the 200's may be ok, but I rode one weak pup yamaha a few years ago a friend had bought, I wouldn't have that thing to go to the mailbox with.
