Mmmm...Interesting article, for sure.
Just another good reason to watch your LDL numbers, right?
The LDL is where these oxidized phospholipids are found and while some of the test subjects didn't have abnormally high LDL or bad cholesterol, those who did have high LDL numbers were at an even greater risk for clogged arteries as they aged.
Plenty of fiber in the diet and as much exercise and strength training as you can do seems to be the silver bullet answer to these problems, don't you think?
We can't alter our genetic predispositions, but we can sure improve upon the 'hands we've been dealt' by being as proactive as possible.
