Draw rod from one post to another post. The way the home owner, who also happens to somehow be an engineer, designed this porch frame, these are just really expensive curtain rods.
Normally, they use these to pull the building together.

These are some 1-1/2" diameter, 3 piece draw rods I threaded for a project in Enid.
