Yep, I don’t blame you that was me too when I left. Best of luck at FCC bud, it sounds like a great company.

Appreciate that. You were at greater Omaha weren’t you? You still there?

I would be interested in what orientation is like? Pretty much standard stuff like the rest?

    Crusader66 Thanks this.

I was. And nope that barely lasted 3 months. I’m hauling feed ingredients for a small company in Kansas. Home throughout the week, nice equipment and off weekends. And no refrigerated food warehouses!

Good for you. I’ve never pulled refer and don’t think I want to. All I’ve heard is just a lot of setting .

    Crusader66 and motocross25 Thank this.

Two and half days of the normal paperwork, videos, etc. orientation class sizes are usually just a handful of drivers. Mine was 4 guys, I’ve seen it as small as one individual. A person from each dept. will come in and give a presentation, usually the president or owner (if he’s in town) will come in and meet you. You’ll get a tour of the facilities and meet your dispatcher, all and all a very laid back atmosphere.

They put you in a decent hotel, in your own room, and breakfast at the hotel. The give you food vouchers from different establishment for lunch and dinner. A company car is provided for the orientation group to get back and forth from the terminal.

I did refer for years . And to me there was more down faults then good ones. Grocery DC,s , food distributions company’s , meat packing houses and etc would break it off 99% of the time
You had no choice if you wanted to get anywhere and make money but to monkey with your logs .
    A lot of responsibilities !!
Just me 2 cents worth lol

Thanks runningman for the info. Sounds a lot different than these mega carriers.

    Crusader66 Thanks this.
