I can't imagine the panic his mother must have felt when he didn't call. I'm starting to suspect this happens more often than we're made aware of and I'm a bit terrified of having people out on single run .

May I ask how old your BIL was?

It must have been nice for the driver. To have a restful stop.

You know, you do your job well enough that nobody needs to always check on you to make sure you are where you are supposed to be. You have a good reputation and it's not nessasarry.

Did his job well untill the end? Sounds like a good way to go to me.

That is way too young to pass suddenly, I'm so sorry.

Yes, he did his job very well. I do hope it was a good way to go for him, I'm not sure if the passing was natural or not yet. I am really hoping it was natural and painless. I'm still so incredibly sad for the loss and I can't imagine the pain his family is going through.

    Thank you
Going on the original recommendation, I am almost finished making a card and wrote about a fond memory. It might take a few days to gather the courage to send it but I will!

Nothing wrong with a card that CONTAINS A HAND WRITTEN MESSAGE of hope and faith that he has found the Eternal Morning that is promised to us all who are with God in this mortal life.

Have the next of kin to the driver contact a local funeral home director with the details of this particular situation. The director will arrange the body according to family's wishes easily enough.

All I can say is that it is not welcome to die inside a 18 wheeler for one reason or another and the body starts to rot and become a REAL problem to those that has to recover it. (Not to mention your truck is probably going to go to salvage. No amount of fabrication metal work, interiors and so on will erase the problem and Bio-hazard)
