I drive team with my best friend, but he got sick and had to stay off the truck for rwo weeks. Rather than sit home, I went out for 10 days on a solo trip. I planned my daily runs at a minimum of 450 per day (depending on the region because it's easier to make miles in some places), and a maximum of 600. I averaged 519 or 529 if I remember correctly over the trip.
I would start out and drive three hours before I took a break (unless I had to stop), then I would stop and get off for fifteen minutes, brew a pot of coffee and walk around for a while. I'd get back on, drive another three hours and do my 30, heat up something in the microwave and brew a pot of coffee and walk around a bit. Drive another two to three hours and look for a place to shut her down.
I generally got over the 500 mile mark on that formula without getting beat up, fatigued, or burnt out.
I actually liked driving solo simply because I could pick my spots to stop, shower, sleep, and relax rather than keeping the wheels turning on 10 hour turns.
If I hadn't made a one year commitment to my friend, I would probably be solo right now.

Hello Moosetek, you seem like fairly casual driver, take your miles as they come, what hobbies do you have on your down time ?
-
Or, you could say that my job is my hobby and in my down time I am just relaxing and doing nothing of note.
I no longer have any interest in staying busy all the time.k1221n2 Thanks this. -
