It’s been in the 70s all Sunday out this way — had the windows down earlier.
I remember coming across 80 yesterday thinking to myself “holy cow it’s only 89 degrees!!!”

Hope it’s not a scorcher this week out west.cke, 7-UP, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 18 others Thank this. -

Don’t know about west I can’t take much more of this. My AC has not stopped since Thursday PM. Tonight’s low is 80. Set on 75 and it will only cool to 77. Nothing at all wrong with it I just can’t take these temperatures the heat index being 115 for the fourth day in a rowcke, 7-UP, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 15 others Thank this.

I can vouch for that. Much like I get asked if I’m Canadian.cke, Zeviander, BigCam9670 and 13 others Thank this.

So why the need to bring it up and make it a point again?cke, OLDSKOOLERnWV, Zeviander and 12 others Thank this. -
I apologize if I'm telling you something you already know and I'm in no way an expert on heating and air but I had the same problem once with mine. Wouldn't cool, it ran and was putting out semi-cool air but it wasn't cold. Called the Air guy, he came out and cleaned my A/C unit, washed the vanes out with a water hose. We have cottonwood tree's around here among all the wind and other stuff that gets blown around and all of that clinging to the vanes, the part that looks like a radiator, wasn't allowing them to cool like they are suppose to. If you go look at it and it's got leaves or grass or anything clinging to the side of the vanes it needs to be washed out.
I don't know if you have to pull the sides or cover off of yours to do it or like mine, I can pull the sides off or just squirt through the vents to the vanes. "IF" you end up doing that, squirt the hose starting at the bottom and work your way up with the water squirting up, might want to shut off the A/C unit also. If it looks clean maybe it's low on Freon? Just a guess.
Anyway, maybe the water deal will save you a service call and a bigger electric bill, good luck!Last edited: Jul 21, 2019

Check the passenger side of your engine for water valves on hoses. Shut off the hot water to the heater core and the AC should cool cooler. Or give you a colder cool.cke, OLDSKOOLERnWV, Zeviander and 15 others Thank this.
