Drive truck ride bikes?

To each their own. People should own/ride whatever makes them happy. I'm just saying there is no way I would ever choose to own an HD.

 

Sleeping with sheep may feel good, but I would get caught doing it. If you ride a jap bike and your out of work see if they care. My Bike is a 1963 Harlley (all american) Panhead, And it has no problems getting me anywhere. Just took it to Laughlin and back no problems. Its like anything else if you take care it it , it will take care of you. My car is a Mustang and my truck is a f250. American the only way to fly. Do forget who brought you Pearl Harbour next time your thinking about buying a car or a bike.

 

Think about the fact that many GM trucks are made in Canada and Ford truck are made in Mexico but my Toyota truck is made in the USA. The line are a little blurred these days.

 

All of my vehicles were built in america, not Canada or Mexico. I did not say they were new. But they are dependable and paid for years ago. As far as your Toyota it maybe assembled here, but take a look at the parts ships that unload in San Pedro, CA. Anyhow the money goes back to Japan. ut hey if you dont mind supporting people that have attacked your country, and made the statement that they would take over america without another war, then enjoy your toyota.

 

Actually, correct m if I'm wrong here, but Ford is the only "American" automaker that has not taken money in the bailout. Is this true? If so, I have never been a fan of Ford, but I will be a customer in the future (trucks, not cars, still don't like Ford cars). That is of course, if my Toyota ever fails me. If it's like any other Toyota I've owned, it won't.

 

Blurred Lines, by the way in my mind the lines have never been clearer. I support my country, and the people who defend it, then all others should get out of the way.

In this time of hardship its time for us take back that which is ours, cut off ther rest of the world till were stable. As far as Canada or Mexico, I see no difference, both are spineless countrys moochie off of America and should be stopped at the borders, including there trucks. Its time for America and Americans to think of themselves and there fellow Americans first, and all others should get out of the way.

 

Mastertech, you can call it BS if you wish, but it is because of the people I know that have, or have had recently, HD's and the problems they have incurred, that have kept me from getting one. I wouldn't mind having one, but since the cost is a little more, and the possiblity of break downs, are what I'm thinking of.
On the other hand, one of my brothers has a Suzuki. He's had problems with it, and after checking some forums with Suzuki owners, it seemed to be a common problem. So, I didn't get one of those either.
I did get some good reviews on Kawasaki from a former HD owner, as well as other Kawasaki owners. So, I gave it a try. And, like I said on my first post on this thread, I love my Kawasaki Nomad! It's been great.
I've had my motorcycle endorsement for over 20 years, and have had different bikes. First one was a Yamaha, when I was 15.
But, like one other poster said, to each their own.

My Goldwing is American made. Marysville Ohio. Don't assume the Harley is not made with foreign parts. Some would argue that the Goldwing is actually more American than the Harley.

No, sorry. Your vehicles were Assembled in America. not made or built. I work with Ford and GM daily and its clearly printed on their OEM body parts boxes that the parts are made in X, Y and Z country...sometimes even America.

uh....techically...thats the exact very same thing that got us INTO this mess we are in right now. But...must...fight....urge...to...argue....

 

This is what it's all about. Just get out and feel the wind! I've had a Honda, Kawasaki and Harley Davidson. The brand doesn't matter... I've enjoyed them all. As for breakdowns... I had way more problems with my Kawasaki than with any of the others. Nothing against the brand, just a lemon of a bike. It's a mechanical item made by man and therefore prone to have problems.
